Journals from CHEM 497 journal article assignment.  Some are current subscriptions, some are not.  Use Inter Library Loan for articles in journals that are not owned by Western Libraries.

  • ACS Style Guide

The style guide book from the American Chemical Society.  e-book version available online.  Use for information about in-text citations and lists of references (citations).

  • ILL

Western Libraries offers two services for getting materials not owned by the library.  Summit is integrated into the OneSearch catalog, use for borrowing books from member libraries.  ILLIAD is a separate system used mostly to get PDF documents of journal articles. 

  • Research & Writing Studio

The Hacherl Research & Writing Studio is located in Haggard Hall on the second floor, next to the SkyBridge.  Your first and last stop for research projects, from brainstorming ideas to verifying citations.  No appointment needed, just drop in.  Also available online through Chat on the library home page and the Studio home page.

  • Zotero

From the Zotero home page:  Zotero collects all your research in a single, searchable interface. You can add PDFs, images, audio and video files, snapshots of web pages, and really anything else. Zotero automatically indexes the full-text content of your library, enabling you to find exactly what you're looking for with just a few keystrokes.
