Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a from of corporate self-regulation where a company is aware of the impact of the company has on the environment, society, etc. Tied to business ethics, as more people are becoming aware of the affect corporations have on the world, corporate bodies are trying to make this information available. Some companies are better at it than others. Some companies devote entire sections to of their web sites to CSR; some don't.

There are several "best of" lists relating to CSR as well as some international standards, but the best-of lists are not regulated and adherence to the international standards are voluntary.
