Alternate Text Resources for WWU Students: Examples: How To Find Alternate Text

This guide is designed for students who require alternate text for their classes, and to demonstrate where students can retrieve these texts.

Find Alternate Text @ Washington Talking Book and Braille Library

Washington Talking Book and Braille Library: The WTBBL offers audio, Large Print, and Braille texts for low vision and blind individuals. Students who are interested in borrowing books from the Library may apply for an application here

To Browse the Catalog:

1. Go to the WTBBL catalog, located here.

2. Under the section titled "Media," select your desired alternate text format.

3. Enter your search terms into the catalog and browse through the results.

Note: Borrowing texts from the WTBBL requires a separate application process, which is not affiliated with Western Libraries. Please refer to the application link above.
