You can drop-in for a 25-minute conference without an appointment.

You can also schedule a 25-50 minute appointment by phone at (360) 650-3219, or stop by the front desk any time and reserve a spot in our purple appointment book.

Since our Writing Assistants come from various disciplines, and our concerns in writing are on issues of meaning, we are admittedly not experts on research questions or citations. We can help you find useful resources for citations and offer basic strategies for research, but we encourage students to ask a librarian or the Information and Help Desk for in-depth assistance.

We can help with all types of writing, from course assignments and essay exams to job search materials. No draft? No problem! We can help at any stage of the writing process, and love brainstorming sessions. 

Because there is no "right answer" in writing, our goal as Writing Assistants is to be an active audience. During writing conferences we focus on asking questions and equipping you with strategies to use in your current and future writing projects.
