OneSearch & The Summit Request Process
“My bookmarked Summit Catalog site redirects me to this site. Why?”
On Tuesday, January 20th, 2015, the Orbis Cascade Alliance integrated the Summit catalog request process into the single search interface of Western Libraries’ OneSearch. For some background: During the 2014-2015 academic year, Western Libraries has continued the transition from the Libraries old catalog system to a fully implemented shared catalog that draws upon data sources from the Orbis Cascade Alliance’s 38 member libraries. The integration of Summit requesting into OneSearch was one of the many developments in this process (In the past, patrons were required to log into another system in order to complete a Summit request).
