Library Information Tutorial (LIT)

  • Library Information Tutorial (LIT)
    This online tutorial is an excellent way to become familiar with the kinds of resources and materials offered through the library. Modules include: Using the catalog, searching online databases, effective Web searching, plagiarism and how to cite sources.

Library Instruction Courses

Here are two of our library credit courses:

Library 201 Introduction to Research Strategies (2 Credits)

This course is intended for sophomores and transfer students. LIBR 201 introduces students to the nature of research, with emphasis on strategies for carrying our inquiry, locating electronic and print sources, assessing sources for authority and selecting and incorporating materials form sources into writing.

LIBRARY 320 Topics in Information Studies (3 credits)

This course is intended for juniors and transfer students. It will focus on varying topics and information studies including emerging technologies and trends in scholarly research. The course is repeatable to a maximum of 6 credits.
