Blended Learning Guide: Reserves

Library resources and services for blended courses.

Course Reserves

Are you looking for a way to provide your students with a range of course materials to suit various learning styles and needs? Western Libraries wants to help you!

New starting in the 2013-14 academic year: All course reserves are now automatically added to your Canvas course as a module.

We have an extensive collection of physical and electronic materials that can be put on course reserve for your students. If you can give us a list of course materials, we can handle the details. We will also make copyright and fair use determinations, and select the most efficient and cost-effective approach to provide access to what you need.

If you need more information, see this page for details: Set Up Course Materials

If you already know what you would like on your Reserve list, you can get started

Multimedia

Your course reserve list can also include links to specific websites, e-books, or other electronic resources. In addition, DVDs and CDs can be put on physical reserve.

If you are looking for streaming media options, check out Academic Video Online, an online repository of Alexander Street Press videos, which the library has recently added to its colection. This collection includes newsreels, documentaries, field recordings, interviews, lectures, and training videos.
