Research in Cryptozoology: Home

Short introduction to library and web resources relating to cryptozoology.

Introduction to This Guide

The Oxford English Dictionary Describes cryptozoology as "The study of unknown, legendary, or extinct animals whose existence or survival to the present day is disputed or unsubstantiated." As such, this guide offers links to resources that might be of interest to researchers examining different aspects of cryptozoology, whether it be inquiry that has a starting point of examining myths and legends or inquiry with a starting point that creatures are real or not yet extinct. Links to resources or books listed here should not be seen as an endorsement of those sites or content. Rather, we invite researchers to take a skeptical approach to the discourse around cryptozoology and welcome consulting with you on evaluating sources.
