The Northwest Collection includes works of all published genres and in all disciplines that pertain to the Pacific Northwest. This eligibility is established through the presence of specific subject terminology in the catalog record that identifies places in the Northwest or topics associated with the Northwest (e.g., people groups indigenous to the region). The collection also includes works by select creators associated with the Pacific Northwest.
Certain categories of resources are excluded from the Northwest Collection because of their format (e.g., maps, children’s books, government documents) or non-circulating status (e.g., rare books in Special Collections).
