The Congressional Record is the official record of the proceedings and
debates of the United States Congress. It is published daily when Congress
is in session and includes the full records of floor proceedings of the House
and Senate. The Congressional Record began publication in 1873,
but earlier titles include Annals of Congress (1789-1824), Register
of Debates (1824-1837), and Congressional Globe (1833-1873).
The Congressional Record currently includes four sections:
